Rockies Win at Nashville, 5-2
|
The Colorado Rockies downed the Nashville Stars, 5-2, at Stars Yard. Tyler Soderstrom led the way, going 2-for-4 for Colorado. Matt Cronin finished the game for Colorado and earned his 18th save. Colorado bumps their record to 74-81 with the win.
In the top of the first, Ryan Mountcastle ambushed a 1-2 fastball from Noah Syndergaard and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Colorado a quick 2-0 lead.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Colorado manager Alek Rockies.
