Atlanta right fielder Wally Chastine made his presence felt in the 14-8 Braves triumph over the Toronto Blue Jays. Chastine hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4. The National League East Division-leading Braves are 100-62.

Atlanta used a well-timed hit by Jeff English to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Braves ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Winning never gets dull," said Chastine.
