Orioles Earn Late 3-2 Win
|
Baltimore beat Cleveland at Progressive Field, eking out a 3-2 win. The triumph was primarily due to third baseman Tony Sierra. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The Orioles bumped their record to 102-57 with this latest triumph.
Sierra had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a full count changeup from Chris Vasquez, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Orioles a 3-2 lead. It was the 48th home run of the year for Sierra.
Said Sierra: "It's just one win, but it feels like more when you outlast a tough opponent."
