St. Louis Drops Seattle, 6-0
|
The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Seattle Mariners, 6-0, at T-Mobile Park. Starting pitcher Brad Collom was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Collom got the win, improving to 12-7. He gave up 2 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. With the win, the Cardinals sit at 94-64.
St. Louis used the hitting of Tony Gudino to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cardinals on top, 2-0. For the game, Gudino had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Gudino.
