Chicago pitcher Ryan Weathers did his part in helping his team defeat the New York Mets, 6-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. In 5.1 innings, Weathers surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. The third-place White Sox now have a win-loss record of 83-74.
The White Sox got a big at-bat from center fielder Danny Woldt. For the game, Woldt went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Chicago a 2-1 lead.
