St. Louis Hot Streak Continues with 2-0 Win
The St. Louis Cardinals locked up a win at Busch Stadium, knocking off the Chicago Cubs, 2-0. On the mound for St. Louis was right-hander Robby Rosado. He played a major role in the triumph. Rosado yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. His record improves to 15-8. Steve Christopher earned the save, his 28th in 32 tries.

Andy Beran had a big solo home run for the Cardinals in the bottom of the third inning. With St. Louis leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Jim Fontana, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2034 draft, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Cardinals on top, 2-0.

"Robby was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said St. Louis manager Nate Cards.

The Cardinals, at 91-59, have now won 7 straight.
