Dominant Performance by Tiedemann in Los Angeles Win
|
The Los Angeles Angels picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, knocking off the Toronto Blue Jays, 2-0. Starting pitcher Ricky Tiedemann was a big reason why. Jimmy Merritt recorded the save, making him 22 for 31. Los Angeles has now won 3 straight, while the Blue Jays have lost 4 in a row.
Tiedemann, a native of Long Beach, California, was dealing all game. He kept Toronto hitters off-balance, while giving the Angels 7 quality innings. Tiedemann threw 100 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Tiedemann.
