The Tampa Bay Rays downed the Houston Astros, 7-6, in 10 innings at Minute Maid Park. Mel Esquivel led the way, going 2-for-5 for Tampa Bay. The Rays now own a record of 79-69.

Sean Utzinger came through with a big-time hit for Tampa Bay. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Tampa Manager.
