In a low-scoring contest between the Houston Astros and the Minnesota Twins, Manny Vargas was the X factor. The Houston right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The Astros now have a record of 83-64 with the win over Minnesota.

The Astros got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Jose Mejia. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Astros.
