The Brewers got a big hit from first baseman Tim Ross. Facing Minnesota pitcher Jose Grateron in the top of the sixth, Ross pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 11th home run of the season put the Brewers ahead, 7-0.

"Not much went right for us," Minnesota manager Don R said, when asked afterward about the game.
