Boston picked up a win at Citizens Bank Park, bumping off the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-3. Pitcher Farri Mpasa was a major reason the Red Sox emerged victorious. The winner was Mpasa. He threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was David Galvan. Chaz Lee notched his 7th save in 9 chances.
Mike Harriss had a direct impact on the outcome. Harriss contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Boston up, 3-1.
