Blue Jays Rally to Win, 5-4
|
The Toronto Blue Jays picked up a win at Rogers Centre, downing the Chicago White Sox, 5-4, in 10 innings. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Ramon Meza, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win puts Toronto at 48-89.
The decisive blow was delivered by Luis Avila in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 35-year old right-handed pitcher Jeff Norris to win the game for Toronto. The home crowd went nuts.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Toronto manager TOR Blue Jays.
