In a tight contest between the Minnesota Twins and the Houston Astros, Zach Witte was the determining factor. The Minnesota left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. The win went to Dave Rigsby in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Jared Birrenkott took the loss. The defeat makes Houston 68-65.

Ken Clayton went 1 for 3 for Minnesota. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jared Birrenkott. It was his 53rd RBI of the season.
