Red Sox Curb Rangers, 3-1
|
Boston and Texas played a hard-fought contest.
In a tight contest between the Boston Red Sox and the Texas Rangers, Farri Mpasa was the determining factor. The Boston left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. The loss makes Texas 64-66.
Boston used a well-timed hit by Chris Scott to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Farri made the big pitches when he needed to," said Boston manager Red Sox Manager.
