Cubs Earn Late 6-5 Win
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Yankee Stadium.

Though he had a terrific game, Naldo Velez could not prevent his team, the New York Yankees, from absorbing a loss. Chicago won the game, 6-5. Velez went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Chicago has now won 3 in a row.

Chicago needed the clutch hitting of Hector Andrade to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Cubs on top, 6-5. For the game, Andrade had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Our team found a way to get it done," said Andrade.
