White Sox Suffer 4-1 Road Loss
|
The Boston Red Sox beat the Chicago White Sox, 4-1, at Fenway Park. The win was due in part to left fielder Chris Scott, who was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Ethan Roach earned the win for Boston. He lasted 5 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 5-7. Chaz Lee earned the save, his 24th in 28 tries.
Early in the game, Scott had a grand slam home run for Boston. It was his 49th home run of the season and put the Red Sox on top, 4-0.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Scott.
Boston has now won 3 straight, while the White Sox have lost 3 in a row.
