Rangers Solve Minnesota in Extra Innings
|
The Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins put on quite a show.
Texas ruined an otherwise fine effort from Zach Witte by toppling Minnesota, 3-2. The Minnesota pitcher threw 7.2 innings of 2-hit ball. The win belonged to Eric Dodson in relief. His record improves to 7-2. Brady House took the loss for Minnesota.
The Rangers got a clutch hit from right fielder Jimmy Albitz. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Rangers.
Albitz attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
With the win, the Rangers have a record of 59-59.
