Big Day for Campos as Red Sox Down Orioles, 6-5
|
Oriole Park at Camden Yards was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles.
Boston first baseman Brad Campos was a significant contributor in his team's 6-5 triumph over the Baltimore Orioles. He was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Red Sox. Kevin Hill picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-0. He struck out 3 in 6.2 innings. Ismael Cabrera was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 10 save opportunities.
Greg Fee came through with a big-time hit for Boston. The designated hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We're trying to go out there and win games," Campos told the Boston Today, "and we played pretty well tonight."
Boston is now 69-46, while Baltimore is 70-45.
