Mariners Beaten By Yankees, 4-3
|
New York pitcher Ruben Bizarro did his part in helping his team beat the Seattle Mariners, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Bizarro yielded 1 run over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 8-6. The 'W' lifts New York's record to 47-51.
Josh Russell dealt the Mariners a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and New York leading 2-1, Russell, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2029 draft, hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
After the game, New York manager applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
