Atlanta Defeated By Brewers, 6-1
|
Milwaukee shortstop Ivan Blanco had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Atlanta Braves, 6-1. The Brewers, at 40-58, sit in 6th place in the National League West Division.
Bernie Boman had a big run-scoring triple for the Brewers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Kevin Kendrick, who is tied for 10th in the NL with a 1.10 WHIP, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brewers ahead, 3-1.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Atlanta manager Braves Manager.
