Home Loss Shrinks Royals Series Lead to 2-1
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter Tim Cate, the Nashville Stars topped the Kansas City Royals by the score of 4-3 today and got their first win in the 2026 Round 4. Cate threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs for the Stars. The win narrows Nashville's deficit to 2-1.
Nashville used a well-timed hit by Noah Miller to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Stars ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Miller told the Nashville Observer.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
