Yankees Advance to League Championship
|
After their 5-4 win today at Yankee Stadium over the Portland Loggers, the New York Yankees will advance to the League Championship. New York won the series by a 3-0 margin.
Leading the way for the Yankees was left fielder Tim Fulwiler, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.
"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."
The New York Yankees will play against the Minnesota Twins in the next round. Minnesota won their series against the Boston Red Sox 3 games to 0. The League Championship is scheduled to begin on October 15th , 2031.
