Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Portland Loggers and Houston Astros.
Portland registered a win at Minute Maid Park by beating the Houston Astros, 7-4. Pitcher Edwin Borja was one reason why the Loggers triumphed. The winning pitcher was Borja, now 2-1. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Jerry Eaves earned the save, his 5th, for the Loggers.
Victor Estrada contributed to the Portland win with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
