Mariners Notch 7-2 Win Versus Rangers
|
Seattle turned a good performance from starting pitcher Josh Mason into a 7-2 triumph over the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. Seattle, at 46-33, occupies second place in the American League West Division.
Willie Orozco had a big 2-run home run for the Mariners in the top of the fourth inning. With Seattle leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Jim Lumpkins and punished it. The result was his 22nd home run of the season, which put the Mariners on top, 4-0.
"I try to not think too much," said Mason.
