Wolfe Now 2-0 After Beating Yankees
|
The Tampa Bay Rays knocked off the New York Yankees, 6-4, in American League action at Yankee Stadium. Tampa Bay pitcher and Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, native Jeremy Wolfe had an outstanding performance. Picking up the save was 26-year old left-handed pitcher Jim Manson. The victory gives Tampa Bay a record of 44-33.
The Yankees had trouble solving Wolfe, who surrendered 1 run on 3 hits over 7.1 innings.
Tampa Bay manager Tampa Manager commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
