Series Lead Cut to 1 for Boston After 10-6 Loss
|
Already down in the Championship Series, the Minnesota Twins put on their best show, beating the Boston Red Sox by a final score of 10-6. Josh Umana was special. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Minnesota now trails Boston 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.
Eddie Salazar, the Minnesota center fielder, contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 3-0, Twins. For the game, Salazar went 1-5 with a triple and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Twins manager Don R. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fenway Park in Boston.
