Dodgers Lick Rangers, 9-4
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers licked the Texas Rangers, 9-4. Nate Dukes deserved a big chunk of the credit. The third baseman went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Dodgers. Los Angeles sits in second place in the National League West Division at 41-31.
Los Angeles left fielder Bobby Pruneda contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 74th hit of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 2-0.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Dukes told the Los Angeles Bulletin.
