Guardians Prevail, as WildCard Goes to the Wire
|
After their 6-5 win today over the Tampa Bay Rays, the Cleveland Guardians will advance to the Division Series.
Despite coming out on the losing side, the series MVP award went to Tampa Bay center fielder Mike Peterson. Peterson told a reporter from the Tampa Bay Citizen that he was disappointed in the loss, and hopes to be back next year competing for the World Series
Cleveland won the series 2-1. The Cleveland Guardians will play against the Baltimore Orioles in the next round. Baltimore had a bye in the WildCard. The Division Series is scheduled to begin on October 11th , 2037.
