White Sox Dump Boston, 6-4, to Win 5th in a Row
|
The Chicago White Sox knocked off the Boston Red Sox, 6-4, in American League action at Fenway Park. Chicago pitcher and Taylor, Michigan, native Josh Moritz had an outstanding performance. The winning pitcher was Moritz, now 6-3. He tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. The save went to Adam Luke Moore, number 2 for him.
Chicago used the hitting of Alfred Goudie to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the White Sox on top, 2-0. For the game, Goudie had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Red Sox Manager, the Boston manager.
The losing streak for Boston has now reached 5 games.
