Chicago Wastes Great Game by Buchhop
The inspired effort of Chicago right fielder Branden Buchhop was not enough to prevent a loss, 10-7, to the New York Yankees. Buchhop hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. The winner was Ayron Killingsworth in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Andres Munoz took the loss. The save was credited to Bill Capers, his 4th.

New York took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 5-5, when Chris Fite hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Yankees in front, 7-5.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Fite said.

New York's record now stands at 23-25, placing them 6th in the American League East Division.
