Texas Wins, 4-3, in Extra Innings
|
The Texas Rangers snuck past the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-3, in 12 innings. Texas pitcher Josh Knabel, in particular, had a standout performance. Texas is now 22-23.
The decisive blow was delivered by Jimmy Albitz in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 34-year old right-handed pitcher Joseph Yabbour to win the game for Texas. The home crowd went nuts.
"There's no quit in this team," said Rangers manager Texas Rockies Manager.
