Rays Jolt Yankees, 4-3, with Late Rally
The Tampa Bay Rays topped the New York Yankees, 4-3, in American League action at Tropicana Field. The standout performance belonged to Tampa Bay pitcher and Georgetown, Texas, native Andy Farrar. The 4th-place Rays are now 22-19, the Yankees 21-21.

The game came to a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Tampa Bay trailing 3-2, Mel Esquivel delivered the big blow, hitting a changeup from Dave Lodi for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Rays had a walk-off win.

"This house was rockin'," Esquivel said.
