Reds Triumphant, 7-5, at Nationals Park
|
The Cincinnati Reds spoiled a good performance by Washington first baseman Bobby Cabrera, bumping off Washington, 7-5, at Nationals Park. Cabrera was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. With the win, the Reds sit at 19-17.
Mike Andreozzi was 1 for 2 with 2 walks for Cincinnati. The 30-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Matt Bowden. It was his 13th walk of the season.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Andreozzi.
