Hit Streak Now at 20 for Mota Tuesday, June 20th , 2051 Win or lose, Levi Mota just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Tabasco Tacos center fielder went 2-for-5 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 11-10 by the Campeche Clowns at The Circus Tent. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Levi Mota doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Presently Mota is batting .368 with 1 home run and 14 RBIs. He has played in 22 games and scored 16 times. |
