Sparks Sizzles -- Smokes Knights for 5 Hits Monday, August 5th, 2019 Walt Sparks got the glory and the headlines today, but the Las Vegas (AZL) Knights left with the win. The San Francisco (AZL) first baseman easily handled the Knights pitching, going 5-for-6, but his San Francisco (AZL) Giants came out on the short end of the 8-7 score. Sparks told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Walt Sparks hit a three-run home run off Enrique Zambrano in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, walked in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
