No Playoff Berth Coming for Medicine Hat Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 The Medicine Hat Stampede may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in Rookie Advanced - U22. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Stampede manager Ignacio Almonte said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." The Stampede have missed the playoffs 17 times in their 17 years as a Rookie Advanced - U22 franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 18th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2000. |
