Hits Galore: Alvarado Drills 5 Hits Friday, July 15th , 2061 Miguel Alvarado told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Alvarado of the Wenatchee Chiefs did against the Boise Hawks. He went to the plate 6 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a defeat, 11-7. "Not much I can say," offered Alvarado in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?" Miguel Alvarado grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Yadier Iglesias in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and hit a two-run single in the 10th.
