Fonseca Awarded August's NWL Top Bat Prize Friday, September 1st , 2051 Olympia Spartans fans may just have witnessed a star player blossoming before their eyes in August. Davy Fonseca put up a remarkable month at the age of 23 and has been named the Northwest League Batter of the Month. For the month, Fonseca hit .433 with 11 home runs, 29 RBIs and 33 runs scored. Fonseca is hitting .329 this year with 16 home runs and 53 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .448, 47 walks and scored 59 times. |
