Lowell Snaps Mara's Streak at 23 Monday, August 21st , 2051 Carlyle Mara had his hitting streak snapped at 23 games today during a 7-0 Olympia win over the Lowell Spinners at Edward A. LeLacheur Park. The 23-year-old left fielder was hitless in 4 at-bats. "Had to end sometime," Mara said, shrugging. This year Mara is hitting .311 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs in 54 games played.
