Davy Fonseca Rockets 3 Home Runs
Thursday, August 10th , 2051
Olympia Spartans left fielder Davy Fonseca had a magnificent game against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes today, rocketing three balls out of Volcanoes Stadium to help the Spartans take the 10-9 victory.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Fonseca went 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Olympia manager Jorge Leston said later. "Seems like Davy found his home run stroke today."
Davy Fonseca hit a solo-shot off Adam Carlisle in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Adam Carlisle in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Adam Carlisle in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and struck out in the 7th.
This season Fonseca is batting .305 with 10 home runs.
