Week's Premier Performer Honored by NYP Monday, August 7th , 2051 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Brooklyn right fielder Ramello Shaw. He went on a rampage last week against NYP hurlers and rapped out 9 hits in 18 at-bats for a .500 average while hitting 3 home runs, driving in 11 runs and scoring 5 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the New York-Penn League Player of the Week trophy. Shaw was honored today at a press conference. Shaw is swinging at a .429 pace on the year with 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has played in 12 games. |
