Oilers Chill Kaiser Hot Streak
Friday, August 25th , 2062
Auburn third baseman Case Kaiser came into today's game against the Oil City Oilers on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

The Oilers did their jobs well, beating the Auburn Doubledays, 11-2, and holding Kaiser hitless to snap his 20-game hitting streak. The 21-year-old third baseman had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-4, telling reporters only that he "came up short."

"What Case did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Doubledays manager Carlos Renteria. "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 20 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

Kaiser is hitting .342 this year with 15 home runs and 54 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .440, 36 walks and scored 50 times.
