State College Advances to Divisional Series Monday, September 19th , 2050 René Recoba was a standout performer in the Wild Card Series, but unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the rest of the Brooklyn Cyclones. The State College Spikes beat Recoba's Cyclones 5-4 at Bowman Field tonight, to capture the series 4-2. Despite the series loss, Recoba was named MVP. "It's cold comfort," he said solemnly when asked about the award. "I'd certainly rather be in State College's position than mine."
