5-for-5 Day for Oropeza Wednesday, June 26th , 2052 It was a sensational day at the plate for Hector Oropeza as he led the charge to a 9-2 win over the Sea Unicorns. The Rogue Valley shortstop was pure misery for the Gold Beach pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Oropeza put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Mike McEvoy, manager for the Sea Unicorns, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Hector Oropeza hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Liam Conant in the 8th.
