Bakersfield Loses Colarusso for Year Tuesday, May 31st , 2061 Shipton Colarusso of the Blaze just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old Bakersfield reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Modesto Nuts recently at John Thurman Field. Colarusso suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Blaze medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 10 months. This season, he has made 6 relief appearances, collecting no saves. Colarusso has worked 1.1 innings, yielding 2 hits and giving out 1 free passes while striking out 2.
