Blaze Show No Mercy in 19-0 Thrashing of Silverados Wednesday, June 14th , 2051 Bakersfield Blaze starter Fred Schacht really did a number on the Napa Silverados today, shutting them out 19-0 on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 1 walk and had 5 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Napa manager Seb Leatherbury. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Schacht." This year Schacht is hitting .253 with no home runs and 32 RBIs in 60 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .362 with 34 walks and 32 runs scored. View Boxscore |
