Carver Shines in Gem Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 William Carver of the Visalia Rawhide spun his magic on the High Desert Mavericks today. He blanked them 7-0 on 5 hits, registering 7 strikeouts and 1 walk. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Carver said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Visalia skipper Roansy Simpson said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "William pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said. On his stats sheet this season Carver shows a 8-15 record, 31 starts, 193 innings, 162 strikeouts and a 4.29 ERA.
