Traverse City Blanked by Reeves Wednesday, June 19th , 2052 It wasn't easy but Chucky Reeves made it look that way. Reeves silenced the Traverse City Pit Spitters, 4-0, in a St. Lucie Mets triumph at Tradition Field today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Reeves said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 7 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." To this point in the season, Reeves shows a 8-5 record, 14 starts, 99.2 innings, 74 strikeouts and a 2.26 ERA. View Boxscore |
