Atkin Thwarts Pittsburg, 8-0 Saturday, June 19th , 2066 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Pittsburg Diamonds as starter Lee Atkin shut them out, 8-0, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. The Santa Cruz pitcher struck out 6 and walked 2 while allowing 6 hits. "Atkin was good but he wasn't flawless," Pittsburg manager Slick Adame said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Santa Cruz, but this is on us."
