Molina, Guerrero Suspended for Fracas Friday, August 17th , 2029 Yesterday at Coca-Cola Park Jorge Molina and Ramon Guerrero got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Wilkes-Barre Barons and Newark Bears. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Molina will have to sit out 4 while Guerrero would be given a 9-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This year Molina is batting .237 with 9 home runs and 29 RBIs. To date this year Guerrero has compiled a 10-10 mark with a 4.31 ERA in 26 starts. |
